A New Home for the Rockets: Neenah Joint School District New High School
Over the past two years I have had the privilege of photographing the progress of the new Neenah High School on behalf of Miron Construction. The new building is an impressive 460,000 sq ft. It took 546 work days and 1,875 people to complete from mobilization in May 2021 to completion in August 2023!

In total, during construction I photographed the site 12 times to capture the progress of the project. One aspect of photographing ‘work in progress’ construction projects is getting to photograph the “bones” of the building and all of the hard work that goes into the beautifully finished architecture project.

This job is close to the heart. My family lives in Neenah and all of my 4 kids are/have been in the Neenah School District. Seeing this building literally appear before my eyes over the last two years has been exciting both personally and professionally.

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, Neenah Joint School District hosted dedication ceremonies for the new Neenah High School. Nearly 6,000 people attended the event for a dedication ceremony, self-guided tours, an official ribbon cutting, and some school spirit while singing the Neenah High School Song. After being on this project from the beginning, it was an honor to capture the event that they officially opened the doors on the finished project to the community.

After nearly seven years of planning, two referendums and extensive community feedback, Neenah High School becomes a reality for the 2023-24 school year. I am excited to see the impact this space will have on the educational experience for students, families, and staff of the Neenah Joint School District.
