Utilizing docustyle photography to strengthen industrial brand

In October 2022, Graham Images was hired by DRM Industries to photograph people at work, headshots, and other docustyle photographs for two of their businesses. The goal was to photograph the heart of the people and products behind their company, with an end goal of utilizing the final images to be used for their new website being developed by HeiPro Digital. DRM Industries was founded in 1970 with a focus on fabrication, fast forward to 2023 and DRM Industries is a 100% employee-owned company that encompasses 4 divisions: Machining & Fabrication, Best Exhibits, DRM Electrocoat, and Centri Precleaners.

Whether you’re communicating with other businesses or with consumers, you can use your industrial process as a selling tool. As the photographer, I wanted to create images that beautifully captured DRM’s process, equipment, and employees at work authentically with a docustyle approach.

In addition to the docustyle industrial photography, I also took updated headshots of their team. These updated headshots were utilized to showcase their team in their working environment, taken in a garage door opening at their facility. I personally like the balance that the traditional headshots have alongside the docustyle photos of the employees at work on their website.

The final bucket of photos I created for DRM was Abstract and Details images. I LOVE scouting a clients space for common day elements that can turn into great story telling pieces, and/or visually appealing scenes.

HeiPro Digital recommended me to DRM Industries for this job. HeiPro Digital developed DRM’s Industries beautiful, new website. HeiPro Digital helps employee-owned companies, female entrepreneurs, and SMB (Small-Medium Businesses) to leverage their online presence for sustained success. The team at HeiPro has been amazing to work with, in fact, a number of years ago HeiPro designed and developed Graham Images’ website.
