Favs of 2022 - A Look at Some of My Favorite Images of the Past Year
End of the year ‘best of’ lists are always subjective, and always fun. When rating music, streaming shows, podcasts, movies and news stories the writer’s personal tastes is the determining factor is what is ‘best.’
It gets tougher when you’re making a ‘Best of’ of your own work! When it comes to looking back at my work over the past year I find that I am very critical to what I consider a photo to be ok, great, or portfolio worthy. I find that when I take time to just look through my work I get lost in the small details that make it hard for me to pick ‘top photos’. I’m always looking at my work and trying to find ways I can improve it, so it’s rare that a photo simply exists as ‘good!’ But, below you’ll find a collection of images that make me happy. I like the way they look! And even more so, I enjoyed working with my clients to produce them! Happy to work with clients and help them better communicate their abilities, skills and services!
This year I had some awesome new clients and amazing shoots with long time clients that I very much enjoy. I broke down my favorite photos of the year by the different niches I services. Do you have a favorite or a few that you like best? Comment below and let me know!
Architecture
One of my personal favorite areas to challenge myself as an artist and photographer is capturing spaces for different vendors. This year, I am proud that I was able to work with a number of vendors on my ‘dream clients’ list. Here are a few of the highlights.
Industrial
Having the ability to capture businesses and their people in action is always exciting. This year, I spent time with businesses a cross Wisconsin and in a number of other states through the US.
Portraits
Portrait photography has this power of capturing a moment in a person's story. They make me think about everything that led them to that moment and where they'll go from there! Each story is unique which makes for endlessly exciting work!
Community and Events
From grand openings, ribbon cutting ceremonies, graduations, sporting events, groundbreakings and more there was a lot to celebrate in 2022.
