Project Spotlight: TitletownTech
The organization is a game-changing catalyst for innovation.
There’s a bold and visionary place in Green Bay that stands at the epicenter of what’s next in technology: TitletownTech.
TitletownTech is a cornerstone in the Green Bay Packers’ Titletown development. The organization was created through a partnership between the Packers and Microsoft. It is both a testament to a gridiron legacy built on grit and determination, and proof that there’s more to Green Bay than just football—a truth the Packers organization has recently been building upon, literally.
TitletownTech is a 45,000 square-foot innovation center completed by project manager, Miron Construction. The building exists in a newer development on the west side of Lambeau Field called the Titletown District. Started in 2008, there’s now growing community space for entertainment and activities, as well as several food and drink venues. New townhomes and apartments in the district are currently being built.
Day or night, there’s always a welcoming space to enjoy in the Titletown District.
Green Bay is, for the most part, a town of brick buildings, and its football stadiums were likewise built brick by brick. So it’s no surprise the brick-facing, exterior row of TitletownTech’s neighboring buildings starts as a nod to that heritage. Then, rising out of the expected comes the off-kilter, glass cube that is TitletownTech. It juts out from the past to symbolize the future; that’s my read at least.
TitletownTech builds and funds early-stage, high-growth businesses. The organization inspires economic growth and development and has pledged to put profits from the companies they invest in back into the Green Bay community.
Stairs flank a bank of wooden bench seating where thinkers can openly collaborate and good ideas can congregate. The metal wall panels take their cue from the TitletownTech logo.
With its flood of natural light and modern interior touches, emerging tech companies can feel right at home planting their roots in Northeast Wisconsin.
The TitletownTech workspace is complemented by a lunchtime café and after-hours bar.
The building’s non-intimidating spaces welcome startups, entrepreneurs, creators, and tinkerers alike.
The conference room features an inspiring view of Lambeau Field and is anchored by a football-shaped conference table “laced” down the middle. The inviting chairs are likewise laced and made with football leather.
All of these images were photographed in 2020 with the Nikon Z7 and the Nikon 14-30 F4 S lens, to really capture the scale and scope of the facility.
Most of the photos were only edited in Lightroom and a few of them were finished up in Photoshop, mainly for more in-depth distraction removal.
This photo below is a composite of roughly 50 images using a strobe and a softbox to light individual areas of the open center area of the building. This is the only image for which I used a strobe on this project.
All in all, TitletownTech is building on our region’s native strengths to help launch important ideas that will change and improve the future.
