Project Spotlight: Patina Restaurant Group

Showcasing excellence and creativity on a large scale at 2022 PGA Championship

From catering the famed Emmy® Awards Governor’s Ball to the PGA Championship, the Patina Restaurant Group has been setting the standard of excellence and creativity in event catering since 1989. This standard for excellence made the Patina Restaurant Group the perfect caterer for the 2022 PGA Championship

For those who aren’t as familiar with golf, The PGA Championship is held each year in May and is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation that features the strongest golfers based on the Official World Golf Rankings. In 2022, The PGA Championship was in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Southern Hills Country Club.

“There are 4 major golf championships a year and the PGA Championship is one of them. We needed to showcase what the Patina Restaurant Group is doing for major championships, stated Eric Babcook, General Manager, PGA of America Championships at Patina Restaurant Group.

The event is held over the weekend and thousands of people gather to watch the best in the sport, and where people gather, food and refreshments are needed.

One of the most impressive feats by this team of professionals is that even with the  huge demand (large quantities of food needed), each piece of food prepared was meticulously crafted and presented for event attendees.

Offering ALL of the food for the weekend, this team had a special tenacity to keep the energy and quality high throughout the weekend (literally from dawn to dusk).

A perfect way to start a morning!

The food options seriously never stopped, attendees had new menus of delicious, high quality food to choose from always.

Outside of the food tents, some of the greatest golfers in the game today were playing. A few of the past winners of the PGA Championship include; Koepka, McIlroy, Woods, Mickelson, Nicklaus, and Player.

Did you know that golf is one of the few sports that uses a ball and does not use a standardized playing area? Each golf course is unique and the ability to cope with the varied terrains encountered is a key part of the game.

Graham has a unique ability to listen to someone's vision and expand on the expectation. He went above and beyond for me in Tulsa - literally driving from Wisconsin to Oklahoma to make sure that I got the service and images needed for the Championship.”
