Project Spotlight: FullySTOCKED Wine & Liquor Lounge

Fully STOCKED- A new Wine & Liquor Lounge for Shawano

I met the Stock Sisters, Chelsea and Abby, after they reached out for photos to decorate their brand new Wine & Liquor Lounge in Shawano, Fully STOCKED.

Fully STOCKED is a sophisticated and sultry atmosphere specializing in globally diverse wines, uniquely aged scotches & bourbons and artfully crafted charcuterie slates & sharables.

In addition to hiring me to take portraits for their wall art, I also photographed their grand opening event. Photographing events is always an exciting experience that brings challenges and unexpected situations. Adapting to these is where I excel in event photography.

My main challenge for this event… doing food photography while I photographed the event!

In order to capture the artfully crafted charcuterie slates & sharables from their menu,  I needed to create a quick, predictable and consistent lighting setup. This allows me to photograph a plate as it left the kitchen and before it hit the tables. The servers would let me know when a new item was almost ready, they’d stop by my setup, I’d push the shutter button 5 times and off the dish went! GO-GO-GADGET pocket flash and whiskey glass! I love the moody light this setup created!

Here is a little behind the scenes of the shots above!

“Graham did an AMAZING job capturing the exact idea we had in our heads. Initially we were just going to just purchase a stock photograph of men smoking cigars. When we decided to customize it with our contractor and his crew, we reached out to Graham (as recommended by a friend) instead. We had mentioned we wanted a moody, smoke-filled shot that captured the guys’ personalities. He absolutely nailed it. It is everything we wanted and more.”

- Chelsea Gilling, Co-owner of Fully STOCKED.

*FUN FACT: The name ‘FullySTOCKED’ comes from the co-owners, two sisters with a maiden name of STOCK who opened this business on their shared passion for good wine & bourbon. FullySTOCKED is connected to their first business, Stock Market, a fantastic market for food, drink and various goods.
